If you’re a regular reader of the Dr Linea blog, you could be excused for thinking that we only treat female patients. This, however, is not the case. We have lots of male patients who visit our aesthetic clinic in Ipswich for treatments to enhance how they look and feel about themselves. We also treat men for a variety of medical concerns such as hyperhidrosis (also known as excessive sweating).
Men are becoming more open to having aesthetic treatments to help improve their appearance and feelings of confidence. There are, however, differences between treating male and female patients with injectable cosmetic treatments.

In most cases women will want to look more feminine, while men will want to retain their masculine features. It is therefore important that men visit an aesthetic doctor who is familiar with the different injection techniques that are required to treat male patients.
In this article, we wanted to share with you some of the more popular male aesthetic treatments that we offer, and introduce you to one of our male patients – Gus, who has offered his feedback concerning his MaiLi dermal filler treatment.
Botox for men
Botox is the most popular cosmetic injectable treatment worldwide, so it may not come as a surprise that it is the treatment most of our male patients initially visit us for.
Anti-wrinkle injections are great for smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, including frown lines, crows feet and forehead lines. Our male patients like how anti-wrinkle injections can help them to feel rejuvenated and look less tired. Male Botox should be administered without compromising the strength of the male brow structure, so that lines and wrinkles are smoothed, without understating the patient’s masculinity.
Hyperhidrosis treatment for men
Anti-wrinkle injections have more uses than just relaxing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. They can also be used medically to help male sufferers of hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is more commonly referred to as excessive sweating, and it can be an embarrassing concern for patients who experience this condition.
For men who suffer from excessive sweating, Botox injections can be expertly placed in the armpits or on the palms of the hands to successfully combat this condition.
Male full face rejuvenation
Our male patients who book in for our aesthetic treatments see fantastic results from full face rejuvenation, which may sometimes be referred to as a non-surgical facelift.
Non-surgical full face rejuvenation treatment can help men who are experiencing facial volume loss and sagging or lax skin that is associated with the ageing process. We can administer dermal fillers such as MaiLi filler to redefine the masculine contours of the face and add lost structure.
Our patient, Gus, recently had Maili dermal filler treatment at Dr Linea Medical. We asked him about the treatment. Here is his response:
Q: “How did MaiLi treatment make you feel?”
A: “It made me feel good, really good!
You feel like your face is tighter in a good way, in that you just feel that there are creases that have been taken out, you just feel better.
It’s me, but a better me; a more improved me. It just feels amazing!”
Jawline filler for men
The male jaw is often an important feature of a man’s face. A strong male jawline can be associated with masculinity, male attractiveness and desirability.

If you would like to achieve a stronger looking jaw line, we can use dermal fillers to build the structure to this area and to create a more contoured and sharper looking jaw.
Treatment for male under eyes
Male patients will often ask us how they can refresh the area underneath their eyes. If men are suffering from hollow under eyes or dark circles we can treat this concern with tear trough fillers.

Tear trough fillers are an effective treatment for patients who want to refresh the look of tired-looking eyes and under eye dark circles.
Male Rhinoplasty
Non surgical rhinoplasty may also be referred to as a liquid nose job and this procedure uses dermal fillers to refine the shape of the nose. It’s an effective option for men who want to change how their nose looks from the frontal or side profile of the face, without undergoing invasive nose surgery.
A non surgical rhinoplasty can be used to smooth out bumps on the nose, straighten a crooked nose or to enhance or lift the tip of the nose.

Unlike a rhinoplasty procedure that is undertaken via cosmetic surgery, a non surgical nose job can’t make the nose appear smaller on the face, but many male patients find that smoothing out bumps and making the nose look more symmetrical can make them feel more confident about their appearance. Non surgical rhinoplasty results initially last for approximately six months.
