‘‘Beauty is about enhancing what you have, let yourself shine through!’’
During the ageing process, we lose a lot of fat tissue in the face, therefore, necessary padding and support to the skin is also lost, causing the face to look tired and aging. This also contributes to the formation of jowls. The key to a youthful looking face is full cheek volume, high cheek bones and defined jawline. This is often referred to as the ‘Triangle of youth’.
This is essential when treating the cheeks, to help us achieve this youthful triangle, as with time it becomes inverted.
By adding some youthful volume to the apple of the cheeks and enhancing the cheekbones, an instant lift is created, not just to the mid-face, but can also help left the lower-face.
Some younger patients can also benefit from the procedure because high cheek bones and full cheeks is a desirable look for many; yet not everyone is genetically blessed with that look.
Cheek augmentation with dermal fillers is an easy and painless treatment for instant rejuvenation or beautification of the face. Cheek enhancement is performed using a blunt cannula rather than a sharp needle so there are fewer injections and minimal trauma to the soft tissues. Dr Linea uses a motorised devise called Teosyal Pen to distribute the filler, which makes the treatment so much more comfortable for the patients with less downtime compared to manual injection.
Dr Linea says this is one of her favourite treatments, as the results really give our patients the ‘Wow factor’.
