Regenerative Aesthetics

The new buzzword in the aesthetics industry is ‘regenerative aesthetics’. As the industry evolves patients are looking at new ways to improve their outlook on ageing without making prominent changes to their features. New advancements in the aesthetic world seek to find treatments that can help us to look and feel younger without losing our unique individuality.

Regenerative aesthetics is a new way of looking at how we age. Regenerative treatments and biostimulators are injectables that are used to stimulate the cells inside us that are responsible for keeping us looking younger.

At Dr Linea Medical we offer several types of regenerative treatments such as, Polynucleotides and HArmonyCa™. In this article we will explain what these new regenerative treatments are, and how they can help us to manage the ageing process.

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are DNA fragments that have been used in traditional medicine for years to help heal wounds and scarring. They were recently introduced to the world of aesthetics as it was apparent that they have regenerative properties that are useful in the fight against ageing.

When polynucleotides are injected they stimulate the fibroblasts that we have inside our bodies. Fibroblasts are the cells that make collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are responsible for healthy, soft, supple and firmer looking skin.

Polynucleotides use our bodies biology to regenerate itself from the outside in. They don’t add additional volume like dermal fillers do, so they are a great option for people who want to manage their skin quality as they age, but who don’t want to add volume to their faces.

HArmonyCa™

HArmonyCa™ is a biostimulator product that is made by Allergan, the makers of Botox. This innovative regenerative medicine combines both biostimulator technology with a cross linked hyaluronic acid.

The hyaluronic acid adds volume while the Calcium Hydroxyapatite, which offers the regenerative results, gets to work stimulating collagen production from within.

This treatment helps to counteract the signs of ageing while giving natural looking results. New collagen starts to be stimulated in the body from one week post treatment.

Regenerative aesthetics results

The results of regenerative aesthetics are not instantaneous as it takes time after you have had these types of injectable treatments for your body’s biological process to get to work.

With HArmonyCa™ it continues to enhance your desired look for up to 18 months post treatment, with the optimum impact being after 12 months. The results from polynucleotide treatment will take approximately three months to show.
